let's not go there - it hasn't a damn thing to do with male/female or religion or politics (well some, I digress on this point) or (insert your own biased pet peeve here)
it has to do with the US Space Program being obfuscated for commercial, monetary, personal gain
This has nothing to do with the US space program though.

Couldn't care less about calling them astronauts, or crew or tourists or <insert name here>. Just here to discuss whether or not Rivian was shown in a good light, marketing wise. Given Rivians were the only EVs there hobnobbing amongst other "rugged" vehicles in an off-road situation puts Rivian in the positive portion of the mindsphere of the casual observer in my view, ie the sort of attention most startups would dream of :).

It’s a roller coaster for rich people, they aren’t astronauts.
"Spaceflight participants" is what the FAA/NASA calls them. To be an "astronaut", it has to be your job. Anyone else, "spaceflight participant".

How many flights has Blue Origin made thus far? Presence of Rivian vehicles far from new. TBH, there's nothing to discuss. Amazon/Bezos are early investors in Rivian. It's not a stretch to see them in use by BO. I can understand the novelty when seen for the first time. But this isn't even the second time. 11 times thus far?

Alright. Let's call every public library visitor a scholar then. Hooray!

Did anyone find it ironic that the first “all woman” space flight took place in a phallically shaped rocket, and returned them to Earth in “just the tip”?
How else would you shape a rocket? like an onion ring?

Blue Origin has been using Rivian's from the start. There's an (in)famous photo of William Shatner crammed into the middle seat in the back row of an R1T on his way to the launchpad:

Rivian R1T R1S Rivians for Blue Origin 1744670832116-k

I guess they either didn't have the R1S yet, or were too cheap to use an extra vehicle. And they didn't even bother to lift the headrest for him!

I have a friend who works for Blue Origin on the motors. Drawing attention to the program and Rivian is all this is. If you can't handle it, you are probably jealous. Cost of entry on this kind of stuff is probably $500k. Probably most yuppies who can afford a Rivian could make that flight happen for themselves as a bucket list item. I'd probably go too if I had money to throw away.

Astronaut is Greek for Star Sailor.

To be fair, the Tri-Motor/Quad-Motor Rivian is a roller coaster for rich people.
Blue Origen is a rollercoaster for the obscenely wealthy.

I saw this pop up on my news feed and clicked through to see the Rivians earlier today. On one hand, love this for them. On the other - if you believe all the crap trolls on social media - Bezos owns Rivian and he's just as bad as Musk so Rivian should be "cancelled".

I know, I know. 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

Sure, but there’s a big difference between this:
Rivian R1T R1S Rivians for Blue Origin 1744670832116-k

And this:
Rivian Rivians for Blue Origin {filename}
Vastly different kind of rockets. The new shepard blue origin rocket is suborbital and made to be cheap to launch and have as many people as possible. Look at their orbital and interplanetary rocket the new Glenn. Looks like a typical rocket.
