Here's a picture of Rivian suspension from a Motor Trend article in 2021 and a picture of CVSA2 Kinetic from the Monroe Web Site. Looks to me like the same basic design principle and hardware?

It isn’t that big of a change.I hope they are not changing it. Having only 15 - 20k trucks will be bad for parts availability and software updates. It won't matter if the V2 is cheaper or expensive than V1.
They never showed the whole suspension in the Long Way Up series, but the reservoir canister they did when the people driving the R1T broke one off after getting out of the truck without putting the parking brake on and it rolled way down a hill. It's the same canister. Here's a picture of Rivian suspension from a Motor Trend article in 2021 and a picture of CVSA2 Kinetic from the Monroe Web Site. I had no idea when I watched that show that the truck was basically a 7000lb tank rolling away. Holy crap!in the Long Way Up series, …. it rolled way down a hill. .
The general consensus is that this report is nothing new at all, but a reannouncement of the same tech, with possibly small refinements, but the media has taken it and run with it.
According to this video, Rivian is getting a redesigned suspension. This doesn’t sound like it can be retrofitted to existing builds, does it?
