That's cool seeing they have a branded building in Bellevue. The Seattle showroom is supposed to be in a neat historic building near downtown.

With the Bellevue Service Center looking ready, folks in the Seattle area may be pretty high on the list for first deliveries.
I hope this puts us in Portland high on the list too. Seattle is only a short 3 hours away.

Yes, I'm hoping you're right. It would make sense to get Seattle and Portland going early on as the Toyota Tacoma sells better in the NW than anywhere else in the country. It's clearly a very similar truck (aside from the ICE) going for a similar type of consumer.

Customer Experience Security Lead, Facilities

Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.

As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

We operate development centers in Plymouth, Michigan; Southern California (Irvine, Carson & LA); Silicon Valley (San Jose and Palo Alto); Vancouver, British Columbia; and Surrey, England; as well as a manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Our facilties are a vibrant, fast paced mix of both visitors and employees, always full of fun and adventure. The Customer Experience Security Lead role is critical to establish Security on our sites while creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. As the first Rivian representative encountered when someone enters a building, the Customer Experience Security Lead plays a large role in both operational flow and facility safety. The Customer Experience Security Lead works with the Concierge Team to facilitate access to the site for visitors and employees, efficiently guide them to their proper destination, and is responsible for maintaining a safe/secure environment. In the absence of or at the direction of their manager, the CX Security Lead will assume the initial role of incident commander during major events. The role is key in supporting a proactive, consultative, and service orientated culture for Security at Rivian.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and assess visitors at entry points. You will be the first line of security to welcome everyone who comes through the door.
  • Perform Security Measures, such as managing the visitor management system or an entry log, and perform COVID associated tasks.
  • Administer and control building access and check-in procedures. Issue badges for guests and employees while asking questions of people who seem out of place.
  • Maintain situational awareness and command presence in your assigned area.
  • Strategically respond to security issues as needed.
  • Partner with various facility stakeholders to resolve security incidents and improve the security posture of the site.
  • Report and troubleshoot problems while remaining calm, be well-versed on what to do if a potentially unwanted situation arises.
  • Communicate pertinent information to the SOC in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Integrity and professionalism
  • 3+ years of security, law enforcement, or military experience
  • A high degree of organization, prioritization and awareness with the ability to multitask efficiently

Does this warrant adding Salt Lake city to the list?

I think at most it might be a service hub but not a retail location for now but in general if you look at all the states they have listed there is something is almost all the major metropolitan states.
