Rivian R1T wins Doug Demuro's "Car of the Year"

Just recently visited the hub and only launch green and el cap were there in terms of color.

I went today and it was closed. Gotta try again soon and hopefully they change out the colors.

Interesting because Doug has seemed largely uninterested in Rivian until he finally got a chance to actually drive one. He claimed it didn't seem likely Rivian would beat the Hummer to market which was a silly thing to say if you'd been following their progress. You can also tell because he still gets facts wrong in his review. Like saying he's been waiting 10 years for this (nobody but Rivian knew about the R1T until late 2018).

I can safely say that a niche number of people were aware of this company during its R&D stages of the game a decade ago. I couldn't go into details on what the exact number is, but I do know it's a obscurely small amount.
