From the rule book:
4.5. Tie-Breaker - If a tie exists between any of the top three competitors of either class after the completion of all stages, the tie will be broken according to the following rules:
4.5.1. The team with the highest total score of all collected Black CPs shall be the higher ranked team.
4.5.2. If a tie remains, the team with the highest score on the last day of competition shall be the higher ranked team.
4.5.3. If a tie remains, the team with the highest total Enduro scores shall be the higher ranked team.
Not sure if they are in 6th since they are in the top 3 bone stock class so they did the above rules or if we just need to wait until they finalize the score. They should be tied for 5th if it only applies to 4x4 vs crossover class.

Either way it seems like a solid showing for our Rivian. Really backs up the adventure vehicle reputation that they want.

Just watched their interview at the finish line. The cooling fans on that R1T are LOUD! Very surprised. They had to walk away from it to continue the interview.

And apparently the air suspension is not really smooth... Emme made fun of it. :blush:

(Talking about turning the truck off and having it settle. Not talking ride quality.)

Just watched their interview at the finish line. The cooling fans on that R1T are LOUD! Very surprised. They had to walk away from it to continue the interview.

And apparently the air suspension is not really smooth... Emme made fun of it. :blush:

The fan makes the same noise as the one in my ATV, if I had to guess it's a smaller fan so the noise is more extreme.

The engineer seemed please to have had this opportunity to test it there.

On my XC60 T8, if I’ve been driving in EV mode at high speeds or in hot weather, after I park it the cooling fans kick into high gear and sound like a turbine

I think it’s a common thing since batteries get quite hot under heavy use

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal as long as it’s not heard on the inside. The air suspension might not be set to a comfort setting, so hopefully we’ll learn more after this event..

Its just a test vehicle.......doing test vehicle type things. I'm sure its probably even stronger cooling than a regular vehicle due to the nature of doing what they're doing! Imagine a bad scene with the truck up in flames......you would gladly take loud fans during an interview.;) Same with the suspension, the trucks not even a "Gold Master", little to take away aside from more things discovered to address, exactly what's expected. :cool:

Allow me to refer to my previous post about the live show for the Rebelle Rally....If watching the live award show last night did make you agree with my earlier post, I don't know what will...They completely skipped the Electrified cat winner, which we know was Team #140 in the Rivian, but they just totally forgot about it...bummed they didn't get the recognition they deserved.

I actually like that they are not a separate class, but lumped in with all the other stock 4x4 vehicles. We need people cross shopping the Rivian (and CT, Hummer EV, ID.4, etc.) with ICE vehicles, not just other EVs.

Right, but Rebelle has designations, like 4030, Bone Stock, and international. These are different from the class. If you watched the award show they explained this a bit. They have class winners as the big winners, then designations for more subsets without taking away from class winners.

Electrified was also a designation. They awarded 4030, Bone Stock, and even international (who only had one team this year), but didn't award electrified.
