Biggest disappointment so far is they say that all the 120V outlets share a maximum of 1500W. Was really hoping there would be more than one circuit. At least it's possible to leave the 120V stuff on all of the time, even if it does drain battery if not actually in use.

Leads me to believe they are still finalizing and tweaking the software.
The software will always be tweaked, updated, and improved – that's software development :)

So, to start the truck I need to tap my key (device) on the inside driver door within 30 seconds of unlocking??? Odd, I was hoping I could keep whichever device in my pocket/bag and approach the vehicle, have it unlock, get in and have a push-button start. Similar to any other vehicle with fob rather than key since about 2014.

This is not a big deal with the wristband, but if I use a keycard, now I need to put it back in my wallet then put my wallet back in my pocket.

At least we have the owner's manual. I know what I am doing this weekend. Glad I am at a conference next week for work. :)

Drive Mode: Conserve
p79. "Conserve maximizes range and energy conservation."

Not much information except a change in ride height with speed: Standard height <= 28 mph, Low height >= 31 mph.

Phone and fob are your keys most of the time, and are passive. This means no tapping required. The other entry methods are "active" meaning you need to tap to start.

That's how I read it anyway.

Hmmm... I was hoping to see a "Dog Mode", though, I presume that will roll out later.

This bubbles up as, while I suspect I can set the climate control to be active while I'm not in the truck, it looks like if there is motion in the cab the alarm will go off (could be... problematic if el doggo is in there).

why do we need mirror control on the steering wheel (pg 37)? wouldn't that be a better place for audio or drive controls?

Confirmed 400V battery architecture.

Nice catch! The important thing to me is if it can charge at 800V, which opens up the R1 vehicles to >200kW charging rates in the future and better compatibility with 3rd party charging networks.

The lack of an infotainment user guide is interesting to say the least.

Edit: I do see references to the display and settings in text in the main owner's manual, but no illustrations per se. Leads me to believe they are still finalizing and tweaking the software.
I'll bet the infotainment guide will be software-based inside the user interface.
