It'll be interesting to see how the top end changes with the dual motor. EPA filing says the enduro motors are rated for 14,000 rpm vs the Bosch 16,000. With having different gear ratios front to back it'll probably pull even more power out of the top end, rear motor might need to be disconnected above 100 mph.

I'm still amazed they're just running the stock 22" all-seasons instead of something stickier. Unsure if it's a class-rules thing or just not having anything sticky available in the proper sizes.

It could just be more as a marketing thing, "Look what our stock R1T (slight safety mods) on sport tires achieved!"

It will be interesting to see but we know the R1 is capable of driving into the 130s based on the driving experiences reported when they had a select number of preorders on the factory test track. My guess is they lowered the top speed for some other drive train or lift/stability limitation and not max motor RPM.

yeah but the motor gear ratio is going from 12.6:1 to 14.something:1 in the rear. I can't find the exact numbers but I'm pretty sure RJ (or something else official) stated them at some point.

My run up Pike's Peak will be far less impressive by comparison. I think it took us two hours to get up to the peak (because they had closed the top 5 miles and we had to wait for it to be plowed).

Actually, those aren’t stock tires they ran. Turns out they are Pirelli Trofeo R racing tires. Looks like they specifically made it in that size for this race as it’s not listed in a 22 on pirelli’s site.
