While we are waiting for "s0 0n" to get here, I was researching something about Rivian, and thought it might be interesting to document clues about their suppliers. Bonus points for links or screen shots to factual information!

I'll get it started with a handful:
Audio - Meridian
Suspension - Tenneco
Could be almost anything - Magna
Tires - Pirelli
Seats - Hyundai Transys
Batteries - Samsung
Motors - Bosch
Braking System - Bosch
Front End - Plastic Omnium

Multiple Components - Ningbo Tuopo Group
1633981993287.png

Lighting - Varroq Group
1633982994546.png

Manufacturing/Support
Suspension Testing - AB Dynamics
Robotics - Paslin

Edit: This list illustrates that Rivian is using global suppliers. For all we know, production could be delayed by a chip that Bosch needs for the braking system, or seats from Hyundai could be waiting in a seatainer at Long Beach.....

Great data. At the same time, plenty of these companies have US factories and facilities due to domestic contracts. Every car factory includes a bunch of long-term supply chain investments from their tier one suppliers. For example, I would fathom a guess that Hyundai Transys Georgia Seating System, LLC would be the supplier, and not from Korea.

Now i am wondering what they really make in factory??
Recent articles have mentioned they were planning to manufacture the motors and batteries in-house, but I don't think any information was provided on timing for that.

Would be great for some internet sleuths to track down all the third parties that are currently building or plan to build accessories for Rivian too, e.g. Yakima, Snow Peak, etc. I don't think the list is very long and most everything's probably already been spilled out into the public domain but it'd be fun if someone could find something new...

I've seen Brembo listed for the front brake calipers, and the style precisely matches other Brembo caliper offerings.

I'd love to know the model # off the DC->AC 120v inverter :) Hope to find a spec sheet.

I agree. In fact the yellow caliper actually says Brembo in black ink. This can be seen clearly in one of the recent Breckenridge YouTube videos when one of the vloggers has to change the left front tire of his R1T.

Maybe Bosch is supplying the braking system intelligence / ABS, but the hardware is definitely Brembo.

Those look like the motors, you can see the axles on each side.

I tried looking these up a year ago with no such luck. Supplier/motor could have totally changed by now.
