Reading the description of the video makes it seem like this is a common occurrence, but with specialized vehicles or tractors. Seems he was familiar with the lake bed in this particular area, so wasn't as big of a risk as it first seems to be. That said I wouldn't attempt it with my truck, but gladly do it again with him.

Being on the coast, it would be ill-advised to do the same stunt in salt water.

I learned this the hard way, as vehicles tend to suck in moisture into the wheel bearings etc. I learned this the hard way with a 4x4, and spent about 1500$ at the mechanic. Nevermind the corrosive effects on electrical connections.

Any idea of long term effects of submerging the truck like that? Don't think I'll be doing that with salt water
Rivian specifically mentions it has a 3 foot wading depth. RJ has posted videos of it wading through water *up to the window line of the cab*, water lapping on the hood up the windshield.

Any word if water enters the cabin?

3 feet is supposed to be "no water entry to cabin, gear tunnel, or frunk" depth. I don't think RJ did any post-dip analysis of the deeper dive.

Haha, exactly! And the people running after the boat....the whole thing was a circus. HAHA
Circus?!? Nah the dog had everything well-supervised and under control.
