Yep ... was at Fashion Island this weekend to check out the Lucid Air. Very easy, and was crowded. the Lucid is WAAAAYYYYY nicer than the Tesla Model S. Even the Pure will have just about the same features/finishes than the higher priced models (vegan vs leather, single motor, smaller battery), but still VERY capable.

Rivian could be set up pretty quickly as there are empty spaces in Fashion Island. Seems like the right area for it. Laguna is a nightmare to park and get to in the summer. More tourists I suppose though.

We are about 3.5 miles from the theater and I hope they’ll open there soo… I mean… super quick.

To follow up on this I went for a walk yesterday.
Saw that they have a demolition/ construction permit posted on the fence around the property that is dated from mid Jul2021 (iirc).
So some stuff is being done.
Last summer CalTrans did have the road outside(Pacific Coast Highway) torn up for a couple months to fix some culverts, so I imagine that didn't help.

Unrelated, the gas station directly adajcent to the theatre is selling gas for $6.05/gal, makes me really wish I hadn't decided on a max pack configuration

update:

They cleaned up the trash around the perimeter, have put up scaffolding, and painted it to match the Lagoonies aesthetic .
