I think in my case it was completely a software issue because the brake pedal was locked and couldn't be pressed. After the reset the brakes worked as normal.Yep keep in mind that all cars have an emergency brake either cable operated or electrically with the parking brake switch. My Audi has one down by the shifter. EV's have a 4th safety like a diesel tractor (which doesn't have #3).
- Front master cylinder hydraulic/air loop.
- Rear master cylinder hydraulic/air loop.
- Cable or electric parking brake.
- Motor Regen or Engine brake.
During the software glitch the regen also stopped working. If you look at the screen shot, I'm coasting and zero regain. all battery and motor temps were good too. Interesting to see only the rear motors were engaged. Does this car regenerate in all 4, or just the fronts?
Would have been a good moment to see if the emergency brake works when he software is going through a glitch.
