Less information than expected, but at least there is something. Just isn't more than what the new website already had on it. Little anti-climatic, the chats that I had, like others mentioned "wait for the configurator". I'm sure there is more to come.

I got mine around 3pm Eastern. Jan 30 2020 pre-order.

Just configured mine. Looks like same cost for 20” wheels and 22.” Settled on 20”.” Only “complaint” is tonneau cover and color. I selected launch green between that and white/black being included in base price. All ugly but I’m not paying more for a color that I will likely scratch anyways. I assume the tonneau cover is easily removable. If not, I might as well get a wagon/SUV.

Is anyone going with the 400 mile battery for $10k more?
I want more range, but $10,000 is a lot of charging on road trips.

For me, I have no problem with the $10K. I have trailers to tow and want the extra for that, as well as for going on more remote camping trips. I tend to keep my vehicles for a long time, my current truck just passed 12 years and 175K miles, so amortizing over that long time is worth it.

Agreed. I'm also thinking about the long-term. The battery will degrade and there will be range loss in cold weather. So 400 won't be 400 forever.

Somebody was asking about delivery charges earlier. Note that when you click "payment details" in https://rivian.com/account/vehicle/order/<your-number-here> it says "Gift Shipping"

I think that was for the picture they sent... Maybe we will get some swag too??????

OK, I see I clicked the Adventure option, not the Launch Edition option. With Launch Edition option selected, the 20" wheels are included in the price. So that's good.

I am working on the Launch edition configuration and noticed that there is an upcharge for going with the 20" wheels. But on the regular website the 20" wheels are supposed to be included in the Launch Edition price. See picture with this post, last bullet under the Launch Edition. Anyone else understand this discrepancy?

And while, yes, it's fun to finally start the process of configuration, I must say that the repeated "wait for the configurator" response from Rivian to questions far and wide led me to believe the configurator would have A LOT more than interior and exterior color options.

Rivian, I am perplexed. What are you doing?

I suspect you are one of many who picked LE and THEN adventure. Confusing that LE is in another box but it's one of those three package choices. Picking adventure invalidates LE which is basically the same but priority shipping, free wheel upgrades, and priority production.
