It would help if they referenced a time zone, since Rivian has operations in multiple time zones. It's not afternoon where I live, yet.

The other announcement they could make is about their Rebelle video that should be presented in a couple of days.

One of the replies in the FB thread mentioned film crews all over the place. That sounds like a lot more activity to me.

I think it's a question of maximizing profit. There's likely battery availability limitations, so making a little more by selling more than a little more of the less expensive version might rake in extra money quicker.

I think it is a matter of simplifying production. There could also be some technical or supply issues.

They also mentioned about their removable Bluetooth speaker. I guess its all about the little things... just wish it came in a 180kwh pack
