I saw that as well. I have a back and forth conversation going with their customer engagement team and I’ve asked them about the password for that section. Hopefully we will have something soon

I assume that shortly before it goes live, they’ll send out emails to pre-order holders with a password or link to get one

Actually, reading the password page, it says “This story is password protected. Please enter the story’s password to access it”

So I think there’ll just be one password to access it that all the pre-order holders will get.

Minor difference, but still

I don't see it on my iMac when I go to the Rivian website...any ideas why? Exciting news, can not wait!

It looks like they removed it...
Ugh, I sent a note to their customer service, as I bet many others have. Hopefully this is the date and we all can order our Rivians!

Heh. I think somebody at Rivian got a bit too eager. I’m guessing they meant to send out an email first, rather than a public announcement on the website

I Feel like these "mistakes" are totally on purpose to get us internal crowd going. As someone who is in the infosec field, I can't imagine someone "accidentally" publishing to production environment even if they are using wordpress or something along those lines. It could be a mistake but seems to happen a few times ahaha.

It has always been a question in my mind why Rivian didn't ask us to create an account when we placed our reservations. It seems a requirement to log into an account would be a good way to only provide the configurator for reservation holders. I do remember having to set up a Tesla account when I reserved a Model 3 (ultimately decided not to buy).
