Rivian Secures Sourcewell Contract Opening Public and Government Fleet Sales

January 7, 2026

Rivian just scored an important win in the public and government fleet space. According to Steve Moretti from the Fleet and Enterprise Sales team, Rivian has been awarded a multi-year contract with Sourcewell.

Sourcewell supports more than 50,000 government, education, and non-profit entities by offering pre-negotiated procurement contracts. With this agreement, eligible organizations can now more easily purchase Rivian vehicles without going through long and complex bid processes.

The contract gives Sourcewell members access to the R1T, R1S, Rivian Commercial Van, and later this year, R2. This is a meaningful step for Rivian as it expands deeper into fleet and public sector adoption, where simplified procurement can unlock large scale deployments over time.

For public agencies looking to electrify their fleets, this partnership removes a major barrier and puts Rivian directly in front of buyers ready to move.

This is great - I did see several CalTrans Rivians at the West Sac service center last time I was there.
