Rivian Autonomy Platform+

Just checked Rivian's website again... the available features from the autonomy platform+ (free till end of 2024) include only the Lane Change on Command...

The Enhanced Highway Assist (coming late 2024) and Driving Comfort Assist (coming 2025) are not yet available....

I personally wouldn't pay anything just for the lane change on command and enhanced highway assist if Rivian starts charging for such in early 2025...

I tend to agree with you. I think it depends on what is included in “enhanced highway assist”. Right now it’s kind of vague.

if it performs similar to other ADAS where it moves over and keeps lane better etc then I can see it being worth it (depending on price of course) for those who frequently travel on highways.

My guess is or at least it should be that the current system that’s available on GEN one would be the free ADAS stack and that they are developing a new stack for the AP+ which will perform better all around.

we need more info on features, pricing and even then will be very subjective.

One thing I’m disappointed about is that it still appears that this will be a Geo locked system so it will only be available on pre mapped highways.
