Rivian App is no longer compatible with my phone

The Rivian App update on 8/6/22 says it is not compatible with my phone. Microsoft Surface Duo 2 Android 11. It worked before the update. Did this happen to anyone else? If so, what phone & android version do you have?

Interesting...I just checked. I have and can access the app to see my pre-order, charge map, and account. I do not as yet have a vehicle.

But I can no longer find the Rivian app in the Play Store at all.

Phone - Duo 2
Rivian app version - 1.5
Android 11 - build 2022.517.98

As a test I re-started the phone. No change. App still works here, but I can't find it in the store.

You should both contact Rivian. Android 11 is only one version behind.

I suspect this is likely just a mistake in how they configured their Play Store listing which can be configured to allow only specific devices no matter the device configuration or capabilities.

If you're feeling adventurous you could try installing it from APKmirror which is a safe site that mirrors the play store, run by the Android news website Android Police.

Thanks. I did contact the developer to let them know. Fortunately, I have another phone that still supports the app. I do know how to side load apps. Thank you for the suggestion.

My Android phone version 9 phone (Samsung Note) is not supported
however my Android phone version 13 (Samsung) supports the Rivian version 2.2.0

I wonder what specific limitation has my Android 9 phone?
This is annoying because I need to carry two phones,
because I mostly use my Samsung Note drawing pen to practice
Japanese characters quiz when I am at a charger.

Both phones can run the latest Tesla 4.25.5 App
which can, for example, access remotely the Sentry cameras.
I wonder what so special then for the Vivian App, may better security?

Damn that's crazy. My phone is running graphene OS and I can use my Rivian app.
