Just finished test fitting a @RIVAL 4x4 front motor skid plate. They also spent some time scanning the rear section today that will cover the motor/air tank.

I learned about Rival4X4 through the Jeep community . I know they have a ton of projects going on all over the world, and I have a feeling they didn’t intend for the EV market to become as big as it has(especially in the offroad space.)
From my understanding they started development on both at the same time but variations in the Rivian(cast vs welded subframe and R1T/R1S) have made development take a bit longer.

They 3D scanned it all on my Truck a short while back. I know they are prioritizing front/rear motor skids at the moment, but unfortunately I cannot speak to the rest.

I have not had it on long enough to notice, but I will say it is fairly flat across the bottom much like the factory plastic.

I have the Reinforced Underbody Shield on my R1T. The Rival shield replaces a section in front that on my R1T is a composite plate. I think my composite plate provides OK protection. Like others, I'm more interested in replacing the silver plastic trim piece that doesn't seem to fill any protection function but is there for aerodynamics and appearance.

I do wish Rivian made that front bumper piece out of metal with some sort of support. Currently it just looks like a fake skid plate. I did look in there while he was scanning and while their engineers are much smarter than me I think it would be difficult to make a functional piece with how it mounts in the bumper and the lack of a place to mount a support.

Any updates from Rival? Still shows sold out. Heading to Moab again for Elephant Hill in Sept and would have loved to get them installed.
