RinseKit and my R1T

This is a great idea. I used the Rinsekit heater and it does work but at 150W it takes hours instead of minutes. In a hurry I just boiled some water on my induction cooktop and poured it in.

yeah that $20 amazon 1500w heater gets the whole 5 gallons to around 110° in 15 minutes which is enough for 3 showers. best purchase in a long time.

I got mine and love it was wary of immersion heater and most people confirm it’s not great.

Turns out the first one I bought didn't fit in the opening of the Rinsekit Pro:

So returning that and I bought the following one that does fit and also includes a thermostat. Seems higher quality but comes at twice the price but also with the added functionality.

sorry i should have mentioned that you need to take off the outer metal cover for it to fit inside the cube. looks like the other option is really good too.

I think that method wouldn't work with the Rinsekit Pro. The opening for the tank is the same diameter as the external opening on the Pro model.

In hindsight I would have probably went with the model you got anyway.

Really appreciate this thread. I was looking at this one from Rightline Gear https://rackattack.com/water-fuel-storage/waterport-daytank-3-85-gallon-water-tank
But since I have an R1S, mounting the RightlineGear to bed rack doesn't apply to me.

The costco one is about the same volume and cheaper, so RinseKit sounds perfect for me.

Hope it's in stock because delivery wouldn't be in time for my trip up north next week.

This one works great stock (as in fits the filler hole). Takes about 7 minutes to warm up for a shower (depends on starting water temp). I did jostle the tank however the temp is colder at start than when you finish.
