These tires do not seem to be available in the R1T size. Nor is there any all season in this size on the tire rack site.
Rivian uses 33” and 34” sizing:
21” and 22” are size 33” diameter
20” is size 34” diameter

There are sizes equivalent to 33”, 33.5”, 34”, 34.1”, 34.5”, and even 35” that may fit depending on the rims.

If moving from 21 or 22” rims to 20”, using the 33” size is a perfect fit (275/60R20).

If staying OEM 20” size (275/65R20), then there are few lightweight options…OEM Pirelli and Nitto Recon Grappler being some better options. I don’t have a problem with the speedo being slightly off…

I am looking at a new vehicle with max battery. Want 20" rims for smoothness over rough pavement and smoother ride. But don't want 20" AT tires due to noise and especially range hit. So you are saying that Pirelli and Nitto Grappler are available in 275/65R20 and are all seasons and not all terrain? I will look.

That is probably half of it. Although tires with better rolling resistant would be more efficiency in combo with the atomic wheels weight. The stock pirelli 21" supposed to be one of the best with rolling resistant
How are grabbers holding up? How many miles are they at now? Also, curious about rotation/treadwear...if wearing mostly eveningly then no reason to rotate, right?

Sorry - There are so many options for the 20" rims, but if you want a non-AT tire you need to go to the 275/60R20 tire size (not 275/65)...

Read here for 275/60 options (~2.3-2.5 MPK):
Affordable high efficiency 20" wheels and 33" tires options (275/60R20)

Here for decent 275/65 options (but best case scenario is ~2.0-2.1 MPK)
High efficiency 20" wheels and ~34" tires options (R20 - 285/60 - 275/65 - 285/65 - 295/65)

Lots of other useful threads here too on a number of other options available, 21"/22" are extremely limited...

I just rotated it yesterday and threadwear Is at 9/32 on all 4. The grabbers had about 5500 miles with about 1k on conserve mode on mostly highway. I even asked the discount tire tech about the necessity to rotate and he yes but doesn't give a reason why.

Wow - that's great! Maybe after the next 5k you can do a new post on your setup, seems like the best aftermarket 20" tire option/setup currently available...

I was wondering why you might want to switch from 21" to 20 AT's. I like the 21" street tire because it's quiet, good in deep sand. and gives better mileage. So basically I have no need to switch and would like to understand what I m missing.
Like you, I wonder at the assumption that 20” AT’s would be better than 21” AT’s. AT vs Off ROAD is a different matter.

I have 11300 mi on my R1T max dual performance, on the OEM 21” Pirelli’s, with over 7000 mi of that towing a 8000 lb Airstream. Snow, mountains, gravel, desert, sand - the tires have been great and show little wear. I have used Michelin Defenders on my other trucks, and really haven’t seen much difference. I picked up a new spare from someone doing the swap, so no worries about any difficulty in finding a replacement tire on a road trip. Yes, alternatives are limited at this time, but with Pirelli and Michelin available, I don’t need others. The 21” 10% range advantage is important to me, I paid $$ for range, and couldn’t imagine giving that up. I guess I’m one of the few (according to another reply) that need max range, as our adventures are remote.

Is the 21" Michelin available yet? Last data point I saw was not until fall. Maybe just me, but I saw a disproportional amount of wear after I hit about 17.5k miles. I currently have 2 sets of 20" rims and the 21" set on the S. Holding out hope the Michelin does come out for the 21" so I can get rid of one of the 20" rim sets.

You should check with tirerack about the 21" Michelin defender. Some members here put a pre ordered on it. They should have a better idea. Since you have 2 sets of 20 " rims, you won't missing out much on range if you put on 275/60/20 All Season tires. As matter of fact it is a little more efficiency according to my experience

Yep then nothing released as the release date slid from July to "Fall 2024".
