Who is that guy and why does he have my R1S? ?
Excellent photos that put some of Rivian's official ones to shame. I'm pleasantly surprised at how good all the colors have looked so far!
He is one of the official Rivian photographers and those are really old photos...notice the rear hatch design from the photo yesterday in the reflection...Excellent photos that put some of Rivian's official ones to shame. I'm pleasantly surprised at how good all the colors have looked so far!
This looks like a much older vehicle though based on the fact that the steering wheel is grey/white. The updated Ocean Coast interiors have a black steering wheel (edit: and a black dash, from what I can tell on the configurator):
R1S could be old, but the photos appear to be new, but I'm not seeing the differences in the hatch design.notice the rear hatch design from the photo yesterday in the reflection
Yes. I am referring to that picture. If you look at the picture below, the R1S on the left is the old design. The upper liftgate goes almost straight up the D-pillar curving slightly inward. The image on the right is the UPDATED liftgate design. The upper liftgate opens up right where the window starts allowing a more open rear hatch design. Hence why I said the photo is old. It is NEW to all of us, but an old R1S. The photo below is taken from the Rivian Stories YT channel. . Instagram pic added below for reference.R1S could be old, but the photos appear to be new, but I'm not seeing the differences in the hatch design.
I assume you're talking about this photo:
Great analysis. I strongly suspect that the white R1S in the instagram is the same "show car build" that was on display at the events in early 2020:Yes. I am referring to that picture. Thanks! Exactly. Those 3 guys in the YT videos are pretty sharp...jsGreat analysis. I strongly suspect that the white R1S in the instagram is the same "show car build" that was on display at the events in early 2020:
Versus the updated pre-production R1S that RJ showed off in his video about the flat folding rear seats:
Exceeded only by their modesty ...Thanks! Exactly. Those 3 guys in the YT videos are pretty sharp...js
Now in Western Arkansas, huh? I hope we get to see some videos from their adventures. Makes me wonder what all they're testing...in addition to basic mechanics/performance, trail maps or related UI features maybe?Looks like those 2 that were in VA are heading west and getting a lil muddy
Now in Western Arkansas, huh?...
If they are in Arkansas, their testing range! ?
