Seatbelts and HVAC optional add ons.Meanwhile... GM has somehow found a way to lower the price of the 2023 Bolt and 2023 Bolt EUV by $6,000...
From CNET:
A 2023 Bolt EV will cost $26,595 (including $995 for destination), a major drop from 2022's starting price of $32,495.
The higher-riding Bolt EUV is also staring down one heck of a haircut. A base LT now costs $28,195, down from $34,495.
They lowered the list price and reduced the dealer incentive.A 2023 Bolt EV will cost $26,595 (including $995 for destination), a major drop from 2022's starting price of $32,495.
And people are paying "list" for the Bolt and EUV unlike the Lightning, Mach E, etc... with dealer markups. They lowered the list price and reduced the dealer incentive.
Sounds like they are having a firesaleThey lowered the list price and reduced the dealer incentive.
…what I was thinking. I’ve been getting lots of those mid season sales from lots of retailers not accustomed to mid season markdowns…it’s a pretty good indicator in the near future the consumer confidence numbers won’t be good…Sounds like they are having a firesale
These are 2023 models that haven't been built yet...Sounds like they are having a firesale
It's not just "others" that are raising prices. Sure, GM found a way to lower Bolt prices but at the same time they are raising prices on the Hummer. GM is giving a little here, taking a little there. Also consider that the Bolt still has a reputation problem to overcome. Lots of factors influencing GM's overall pricing strategy. You have to be very careful about the conclusions you draw from a single data point. These are 2023 models that haven't been built yet...
The fact is GM found a way to lower the vehicle price by 20% and even add some content to an EV while others are raising prices and de-contenting their offerings.
