Random 20 Inch rims (cheap) for snow tires

So does anyone see an issue with something like these?

The cost of the oem rims is way too much and the 1ev wheels are like 1,000 each. I’m not trying to spend that much for 3-4 months of use.

The offset listed on Tirerack is +18mm? I think this would cause the wheels to rub in lower suspension modes because I think the correct offset is 48-58mm

The weight rating and the offset are the main things. As @madgrey said the OEM offset is +48mm which is a really odd number compared to most truck wheels. But most trucks aren’t 4 motor EVs either. I don’t know which thread it was in, but someone here a couple months ago had tried multiple aftermarket wheels and found that as long as it has AT LEAST +18mm offset it did not rub. Obviously I can’t verify that.

The weight is important because the R1T weighs 8500 lbs compared to say my Tacoma which weighs 5000 lbs.

I wish there was an inexpensive steel wheel which was an exact spec match for the stock 20” for snow tire and/or off-road use.

Hopefully we’ll see more less expensive utility wheel options s00n…

Is the second set of rims just a convenience for tire swapping? I've got the ATs and will likely keep them on through spring (weather's not super crazy during winter here in the PNW) but am thinking of getting some summer tires next year. Never really considered an entire set of rims to go with different tire sets on previous cars.

I decided against another set of wheels mainly due to the fast tire wear. The cost difference would take forever to get back when I would have to pull the tires off every two seasons anyway

There is also an older 20" Ram OEM wheel that has a +18mm offset, which is apparently the minimum that will work according to someone who tried it. I have no first hand knowledge of any of it.

Thanks for the links! I ordered the tirerack wheels 3 weeks ago, but they just told me that they won't come in until April after winter lol!

Oh that sucks. These are the same ones @SeaGeo referred to earlier in this thread. Might be found cheaper if you do some searching. They aren't too bad looking.
