Not using exact addresses, that's roughly 250 miles.
Would take longer, but you could swing through Augusta and hit the RAN there if you were concerned about going "direct"
True enough. That's a good idea.

The Olancha, CA chargers are in the ground. Waiting on the transformer of course.

I've been planning a trip over the Blue Ridge Parkway in late October for a few months now. I've been tracking the status of all these RAN chargers mentioned in the story for months hoping they would be online in time for our trip (which they are now). I'm a bit confused on why this story didn't include the Whittier RAN (Cherokee) which is at the Southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway. For our trip after we hit the Whittier charger we are progressing to part of the Georgia Traverse and then on to Chattanooga and then Nashville. The Whittier charger was the most critical one needed for our trip due to the remote location.

Yeah, I thought that was a strange omission too. I'm really glad for that one because charging in Western NC and East TN around the Smokies is really inconvenient otherwise. Unless you're traveling on I-75 to and from, which we strongly prefer to avoid -- both because that's actually slower for us vs. US highways through NE GA and Western NC and because it's far less scenic and enjoyable a drive.

They do still need to get something in Asheville. That area has some charging options, but they're less than ideal. I guess by next spring maybe we'll have access to some Superchargers in Asheville?

Does anyone know when the Las Vegas charger will go online? It's been sitting there since June and I am planning on some trips through Vegas come this fall!

Rivian also really needs to add level 3 chargers along the I-15 past Vegas, like at Mesquite, St. George, and other towns so those of us in socal can connect to Moab and Colorado, their national parks, and such.

First stream of updates in a while:

Columbia, MO recently underwent a redesign (I'm not sure why, but yes).

Cumberland (ATL), GA is under construction with an above average 9 dispensers. Several updated photos have since been posted on PlugShare.

Olancha, CA is open and Lee Vining, CA is under construction. Thanks @sizotty for tagging us on the construction updates.

and as an extra, if anyone's interested, here's a poll to decide which new RAN station gets posted tomorrow:

That means Mackinaw City is officially #50. The Count will be thrilled by the news!

12 days left in the quarter. 18 pins officially "coming soon." Will be interesting to see how many they finish with. Last quarter there was a small surge at the end of the quarter. I hope there's another one!

Mackinaw City RAN is showing up as live in the Rivian.com map, but not in the app yet.

I was wondering if that's the parking lot it was going to get put in. There's not many places that don't get completely filled up during tourist season.

Looks like it's right by a trail and large shopping center. ICE'ing is going to be a problem?

Probably the best spot in the whole city for it IMO. At least without making a new parking lot just for the chargers.
