I suspect that a lot of folks are interested in learning more about the forthcoming bumpers from Rago, and so am I, but I've been enamored with they chase rack since they released it, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Initial thoughts below.

Build quality is superb - the welds and finish look great. The main utility here is lighting, of course, but it does have molle panels with rotopax mounts to leverage as you see fit. Installation is simply two u-bolts, which for me is great as I'll be removing this for trips where I tow our camper. Other than that scenario, range isn't a significant factor for me - I have a number of other aftermarket parts that likely ding my range, so it's probably not useful for me to speculate on the effects of this rack+lights on range. Additional wind noise is negligible but this may depend on the type of lighting you put on it. The upper portion of the truck bed camera is obscured by the rack (see picture). Rago notes this in their listing and it's not an issue for me personally.

I haven't wired up the lights on the rack yet - if anyone wants to share a best practice for running wiring from the frunk where I have my Garmin Powerswitch to the truck bed (perhaps up through power tonneau cavity?), I'm all ears!

How are the lights wired? W/O dynamic glass, it's gotta be annoying to light up your cab.

Lights not wired yet - that's actually what the last little paragraph above is about. My roof is tinted fwiw. I'll report back on whether this is an issue once they are wired up.

Miss that when I was looking on the small screen of my phone. If you don't have a power tonneau, that compartment above the gear tunnel is probably a good place to stash power supply & electronics? You could probably run cable from the 12V distribution block, then down along the passenger floor/sill, behind the rear seat and to the PTC compartment?

As a former Tacoma/4Runner guy, I also appreciate the McFly vibes.
Looks cool, but based on the location of the aux lights, I am a bit concerned about what percentage of that light will spill into cabin via the glass roof and how much of it will actually be focused in front of your truck.

Agreed with above, will be back to see the finished night photo and how the cabin/roof shadow turns out.
Looks great and I'm glad it is easy to take off when towing.

Good luck with your wiring, I'd be lazy and toss a 12v battery and 120 inverter in the bed socket and call it a day. Then you can maybe use your power switch to turn them on and off from the cabin. (That's assuming you don't have a fridge or something already plugged in)

I’ve done similar wiring on my R1S, it’s not that complicated, Rivian has generous gaps on roof paneling to tuck wires into. (Also between windshield and A pillar.)

Also, there wasn’t much light leakage into the cabin, and when I have amber caps on, it’s not noticeable at all.
Hope this helps.

Have a thread/details on your lighting setup?

I want to get some lights on a front cross bar which I can take on/off as needed.
