Nice! Thanks @Katsudon :)

You have an R1T... is the R2 cab substantially smaller than the R1T cab in your opinion?

They didn't let anyone in, but the legroom in the second row is more than the R1T or R1S.

I saw it in Denver and I thought it looked bigger inside than expected. Hard to tell without sitting inside, but it was also hard to tell where it was smaller, if that makes sense… It has to be smaller but it wasn’t obvious.

Nice - thanks for the views
The R2 and R3X will be in Nashville October 3 thru 7 so I'll finally get to see them in real life
Wife's next vehicle is the R2 as soon as it's available
Honestly think I'm more excited for these to be available than when I was waiting on my R1T

Man that thing looks sweet. It's a real shame the fold flat front seats were axed from the plans. I'm bummed that I'm going to be cancelling my reservation rather than ordering.

Ah! Where did you hear they cancelled the fold flat front seats? What a bummer, I love the flat second/third row for car camping.

It's been talked about in other R2 threads on this forum over the last month or two, sadly. That was the main reason we were going to migrate to one from a Model Y. If they don't bring that feature back before production though we'll just stick with our Teslas.

Yea that's a major bummer about the front seats. It would be assumed that Rivian would get a hint on how big of a feature that would be in this segment as the hype alone carries a lot of weight in itself.

There are only a few reasons why Rivian may have decided to axe the feature:

1. Perhaps making fully foldable front seats didn't meet the specs that they are looking for comfort wise? Ex. The stow-and-go seats in the chrysler pacificia are terrible and actually not very safe.

2. Cost.

Either way, I still think the R2 will be a great vehicle in this segment, but it has a lot to live up to against the upcoming Juniper (new Model Y), which is going to be awesome.

In my opinion, Rivian has to nail the R2 in order to not make it seam like a crap polestar doppelgänger as the quality and sterile feel of those EVs are woof.

There's still some time to production. I'd wait and see what the final production looks like.
