Good day, good sir.
As someone who's clearly driving age, I think you should re-evaluate your thought process here. Literally every manufacturer I've ever purchased a vehicle from releases +1 model-year vehicles the YEAR BEFORE... (heck, even a lot of the software I use does this. I'm running 2025 AutoDesk Inventor at work.) I'm sure you've experienced the same, but didn't think your comment through.

So, this guy very much did (and many people are) buying, and taking delivery of, 2025 MY Rivians.

That's not how I read and interpreted it.

It reads to me that he took delivery IN September [implied: of this year] OF a 2025 (Model Year).

I guess we're just reading the context differently. Carry on.

Hoping that my reserved R2 is here before my EV6 lease is up - but not holding my breath either.

Sold R1T last week and cancelled R2 order today. With all the issues I had with the R1T
I do not want to be first in line to get an R2. If they get there service centers and quality
up to par then I'll reconsider.
