I just submitted my name to this list for the second time. My first submission never appeared.

Actually he said well over 100k but even at 100k that probably would still take them through 2027 if they start 1st or 2nd qtr 2026.

I would expect a bump in reservations once they start getting the prerelease models out in the hands of reviewers late 2025.

I think I read in an interview that max capacity in Normal is 200K units/year.
Naturally (A) R1s will be made at the same time, and (B) they’re not going to be manufacturing R2s at full throttle at first.

But if they can knock out 30K in 2026, then 70K in 2027 shouldn’t be a chore. Depending on how flush the company is then, construction in Georgia may have resumed. Rivian has dreams of exporting R2 to Europe so having GA online is very important to that goal.

I thought I placed my preorder on Day 1 (woke up early to watch the stream of the presentation, etc) but either their system failed or I made an error in the preorder. None was created that day. I just placed a preorder last week, and I’m assuming I’ll be called to finalize an order in 2027.
