If you include ID4 and Tesla Model Y then I suppose the Hyundai Ionia 5 and Kia EV6 qualify as well. Genesis GV60 a bit less long, electrified GV70 a bit larger.

but I suspect the crossovers should be crossed out entirely, so there’s not much competition already sold right now - the only Jeep EV in production, the Wagoneer, is more R1S sized

I want to see a flysheet on the treehouse one day, even then I’m not sure (don’t know where they could attach one that wouldn’t have major pooling issues) - how is that thing meant to cope with even a light shower?

my prediction: like the OG camp kitchen, it will never come to market.

Looks to be really close to the Jeep Wrangler or Bronco.

As an ID4 owner, I'm hoping that better design/layout and the R2's extra length will provide the extra space out family needs. The ID4 is just too small. The R1 overkill for our family needs (not to mention the extra cost for the R1$$)

Not that far off of the R1S.

201″ L x 82″ W x 77″ H
I’d say it’s fairly substantial difference. 8” of width, 17” of length and 11” of height (not sure how much is headroom) would make a difference for passenger comfort and storage.

I said the same as soon as pics came out. There's no way the designer of this thing even considered rain. I had a really nice RTT that I loved and got rid of it because in the rain only one window was covered appropriately by the fly, so it was basically unusable in the rain. But that wasn't even a pooling concern like this one has. Sloped roof is your friend...not big flat areas.

@portdirect & @zefram47 - They’ve had it in public with a rain fly. I forgot to take a photo from the outside, but here it is from the inside. It was a completely separate piece. It definitely seemed like water would pool in the middle.

Any time some ass hat dings the vehicle, He-Gary comes on the screen and the truck tank turns them into oblivion?
