R2 Compact Spare tire....are you ordering it on your build?

Also, it mentions a jack and wheel chocks are included but no mention of an inflator. R1 owners have their inflators build in to their vehicle but R2 doesn't have that luxury, so I'm assuming we will have to buy one. I doubt a can of fix-a-flat would inflate it. I've seen posts of R1 owners that have used this spare with success and it can be collapsed (by pulling out the valve stem) and reused.

I'm really hoping that Rivian sees this gap for R2 owners and includes some sort of inflator, but we will have to see once they actually start delivering the spare kits. If they don't, I'll be investing in the best 12v inflator you can get.

My R1S doesn't have a built in compressor. It came with a package in the frunk which includes a can of sealant and a 12v compressor to plug into the outlet in the rear compartment. I imagine the R2 will include the same.

Tire service kit included​

The kit includes the tools you need to install your tire — including a jack and wheel chocks.​

I would be interested to see what kind of jack will be included?


Note: For my Model Y, I use two scissors jacks because with only one I could not lift the vehicle without making crazy of force and the screw mechanism was making a lot of noize.

With two scissors jacks I can progressively lift one inch at the time the front and the rear.

Also, time to time, I need to readjust the base of the scissor jack because the car oscillate when the car get lifted. So having two jacks is very helpful.

I don't have this problem with a floor jack, because those floor jacks have wheels and automatically recenter the load temself.

Now, I read that Rivian has a special rectangular area for lifting point?

I am looking at this other 3 Ton jack with different pads.
Maybe I will need to cut the pads to make them matching the lifting area:

No, that's what my phone is for and I never drive to places with no coverage. I'd rather have the extra cargo room.
