My R1S doesn't have a built in compressor. It came with a package in the frunk which includes a can of sealant and a 12v compressor to plug into the outlet in the rear compartment. I imagine the R2 will include the same. Also, it mentions a jack and wheel chocks are included but no mention of an inflator. R1 owners have their inflators build in to their vehicle but R2 doesn't have that luxury, so I'm assuming we will have to buy one. I doubt a can of fix-a-flat would inflate it. I've seen posts of R1 owners that have used this spare with success and it can be collapsed (by pulling out the valve stem) and reused.
I'm really hoping that Rivian sees this gap for R2 owners and includes some sort of inflator, but we will have to see once they actually start delivering the spare kits. If they don't, I'll be investing in the best 12v inflator you can get.
