R1T Wider Than Raptor?

My wife has put the hammer down and demanded she get her double garage side back when I get my R1T (which I acquired when I got my Raptor in 2018). At the time I had just pre ordered the R1T and thought to myself "no way it will be wider than the freaking Raptor." Well this weekend I had some free time and thought I would just start comparing dimensions.....

Raptor - SCREW
Width (mirrors in) = 79.9"
Width (mirrors out) = 86.3"

R1T
Width (mirrors in) = 81.8"
Width (mirrors out) = 87.1"

So... my question for those that have laid on eyes on the R1T and even been inside one, does that seem possible? Every comment I have read regarding size has placed it between a Taco and a Ridgeline. Picture to show what I am dealing with - I know, first world problems....

(Including Standard Mirrors) 96.8 in.
(Standard Mirrors folded) 86.3 in
(Excluding mirrors) 86.3 in.

R1T width:

Where did you get those dimensions? When I google 2018 Ford Raptor Width - I consistently get 79.9 to 86.3". And I hope, for the record, you are right.

If it was wider than a raptor then it would be classified as a commercial vehicle and would require the three orange auxiliary lights

I thought of that.. and then convinced myself that the front light bar on the R1T would serve the same function.

ive seen it mentioned in videos that in person it has a substantial presence and is actually very wide. its tacoma looking but f150 sized

Raptor cab is the same as a regular f150 cab so width with mirrors out are the same between a regular f150 and a raptor as the mirrors are mounted on the door. There is an option for trailer towing mirrors that would make the f150 wider if mirrors are out.

I think he's just saying the cab itself is the same. The Raptor is only wider because of the flared fenders and pushed out tires.
