R1T side by side with Tacoma

Ran into this short by Ben Sullins. Seems like a good side by side. The cab in the R1T seems bigger while the bed is certainly shorter. Overall length is not a big thing considering the Tacoma needs extra space in the front for the radiator etc.

On paper the Rivian is supposed to be about 6” longer than a Tacoma with the 5.5’ bed, so that seems about right If that one was the “long” bed version (6’). The R1T seems like the perfect garage sized pick up.

My 6' bed, double cab, 2006 Tacoma is 224" and the R1T is 217". The back seat in the Rivian is quite a bit more commodious and, as we know, the bed is quite bit less so. So, bed length has been sacrificed for rear seat comfort and gear tunnel glory in the Rivian.
