I'm currently arranging a trip to Seattle for an event in August. Yeah, it's way early, but hotel rooms are going fast and finding a place to park my R1T may influence my choice of hotels. I'll be very close to the Seattle Convention Center-Summit. The lots I've looked at so far don't accept trucks. If any of you knows a place that will allow an EV truck, I sure would appreciate a pointer! (For now, I'm registered at the
Sheraton Grand Seattle, 1400 Sixth Avenue. But their parking doesn't accept trucks, so I might change my reservation.) It might be relevant: it's likely that the truck will have an RTT mounted on the bed, so nothing above regular cab height.

Many thanks!

Some of the places that don't accept trucks down there really mean, "We can't park your jacked-up F250 in here," so they just use the blanket no trucks statement. But there are also some especially the older ones, that are really small or have very tight corners or lots of support columns.

The lot by the convention center could work, though that's a public lot, and I'm not sure if it's 24-hour. If you don't need the truck to get around, parking at one of the airport lots and taking the light rail might be a good option.

FWIW I've never seen a parking garage that couldn't fit the R1T. I've parked at the convention center garage without issue.

Are you sure Sheraton doesn’t doesn’t allow pickups? There are lots of parking garages downtown if you don’t mind walking a bit. But I would check with the hotel to see what they recommend.

I just parked my R1T at the Washington Athletic Club (WAC) garage last week. It's right across the street from Sheraton Grand. I was under the impression that Sheraton was valet only.

WAC Garage worked great. easy in, easy out.

I think that is correct, but their web site directed me to a lot about a block away that said explicitly "no trucks." But, as @Taco Corp points out, that might not mean something R1T-sized.

I probably won't need the truck while I'm there--in a dense urban area like that, it's not very useful. So I should probably look for something a short trip away by public transit. Parking at the airport seems like a reasonable scheme.

I appreciate the various suggestions! It's always useful to have the input of locals when visiting a new place. (When we get closer to the actual trip, ten months from now, I'll ask about really important stuff like restaurants and breweries! But, dang, hotel rooms are going fast! For the event I'll be attending, they're basically already sold out.)

Multiple EV-friendly parking lots within a few blocks that can accommodate an R1T.

Specifics change throughout the year.

Book hotel with confidence, then check PlugShare a few weeks before your trip.

Enjoy Washington! Visit the Washington coast if you can -- from Ilwaco to Neah Bay, it's beautiful!

I appreciate all the input! Seems like I'm pretty safe just heading out and dealing with what happens as it happens. At least, in Seattle, valets are likely to be able to park an EV. That's certainly not true everywhere! (I never like using valet parking. But sometimes there's just no good option.)

Pacific Place garage is also a good option. It's a few blocks away but Puget Sound Plaza also works. I park my R1T there all the time. Just enter/exit off of Union. The University Street side (the Cobb) is horribly short ceiling and going between the two garages internally will fuck up the roof of you truck.

That is really useful, thanks!!! I hope I remember to consult this thread before I do the actual trip!
