Where do you go to see the vin? I reserved an LE from the shop but all I see is that my configuration now shows the vehicle to be the LE but I don’t see anything else. I also got an email from Rivian to start the purchase process but when I click get started it just brings me to the website I don’t see anything different.
Purchase summary, underneath vehicle overview after you’ve clicked the vehicle icon

Just a quick THANK YOU to this forum & thread. Without you, I wouldn't have known to ask for Shop access. The first time I asked I got the standard response that it was only available for the earliest pre-holders. But I asked again today via the customer chat (with a "fleet specialist"), and now just a few hours later I'm completing the purchase steps for basically my exact pre-order configuration! So thanks!

I'm a 11/2021 reservation holder in Denver. I recognize there are others before me in line without as much luck.

Is there a high probability this is an early MY22 R1S or perhaps a return?
Its a great deal but I don't want to end up with someone else's problem.

It will not be a return, they can’t sell a return as new.

Could be an early vin but not necessarily there is a launch green on cars and bids recently sold vin 5998

They technically are non-sequential but not random. You can guess the month by the serial number. When they say non sequential number 1670 may come off the line before 1663 but 1663 is not going to come off the line after 2100.

What’s your VIN?
I just picked up a LE vin 43xx. Hopefully it isn’t a lemon as it seems vins are in the 9000 range now.
You can run VIN through the NHTSA decoder to at least confirm model year and some other basic details.

I know guide said April build and non-sequential, but I'm honestly not sure that's the case. All other indications have been sequential VINs based on production date (though that doesn't mean VINs are released to the shop sequentially of course). You'll be able to confirm manufacture date once you get the vehicle and check the label on the driver side door.

For reference, my R1S is 61xx and it was a March 2023 build. As long as it's a post-January build (for the driver side safety improvements) I wouldn't personally care one way or another.

Maybe it’s because I got suckered into RUS and takes longer as an add on? Or my guide is full of it!

Update, was just doing another round of hopelessly checking my account for access and I got it!
Congrats! When you chat with CS, did the say they noted your interest with R1 shop or they mentioned they are raising request?

They said they were going to make a note but I've had at least 2 other calls/chats end that way over the past 2 months without any progress. I'm not sure what was different this time. Both interactions left me feeling like it was just more of the same and nothing was going to be done.

I started a chat this morning and requested shop access. Customer service said they would try to request access but it wasn’t guaranteed. Later this afternoon I got access! Already snagged a Glacier white with ocean coast. I wanted dark rims but I can easily go after-market or powder coat. Thank you @R1Serenity and others.

I don’t see that just yet. Maybe that’s why I’m not seeing a vin. I hope the system updates over night or maybe Monday and I can start the 8 step process. I did however get this email as soon as I confirmed I wanted the vehicle in the R1 shop.
