Looks incredible! Do you mind sharing how much that all ran you? I’m in OC, won’t mind traveling if the work is good and price is right for PPF.
Thanks! I thought the work was definitely good, as they really paid attention to detail. Every time I visit, they have some exotic or unique vehicles they work on, so it’s fun to see them in action.

The price is competitive to most shops in LA when I asked around, and in fact were on the lower end of the range. You can save some money by going with gloss and not getting the front/rear bumper trims blacked out. I’d suggest just shooting them a message on their website to get a quote. You can tell them the guy with the stealth blue R1S sent you, but I’m unsure if that’ll get you a discount (who knows?). They are all very friendly to work with!

FYI, I've heard good things about 1 Clear Bra down in OC as well, but I didn't get a chance to check them out, so I can't vouch for them.

How much more cost $ then Rivian PPF program ?
See above, regarding prices. Just send them a quick message for a quote. I think the additional cost over the standard Rivian program is well worth it. They don’t cut corners, they remove things as necessary to get to the edges, and overall they cover the whole vehicle instead of the standard Rivian cutouts.

Looks awesome. Just surprised (as you are in Cali) that you didn't have the glass roof treated.
Thanks! Believe me, I debated it for a while. I heard a few horror stories of the tint potentially cracking the roof in extreme heat. The folks here said they haven’t had any problems if the tint is either 45% or 70%, but any darker they’ve seen issues.

I would’ve gone with the 70%, but for now I decided not to risk it since it’s typically parked in a garage most of the time. Also, the weather in west LA is pretty temperate compared to the valleys. Plus, I can add it later anytime I choose to (we'll see how the summer goes).

Yeah that's crazy, you can apparently get the hood variant so it doesn't make sense not to offer the C-pillars. But that does basically lock-in the fact that they are different pieces. otherwise it would just be the part you can already get
Oddly enough, I didn't tell them which badge I needed (and they didn't ask). They just immediately turned me down and told me they don't sell it separately as a part. 🤷‍♂️

Wow, very nice! I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures in its natural habitat (streets and neighborhoods of LA and maybe a trail or two :) )
Thanks, yeah, same here. We took it to Palm Springs a couple weeks ago and had a blast. Hopefully they'll be another Rivian meet up in LA sometime soon which I can join.

Hey all,

I finally got my R1S back from the detailer (405 Motoring) who did an amazing job on my R1S! Needless to say, I highly recommend them if you're in the LA-area.

I wanted to share some pics they shared with me. Some more are on the way, so I'll update this thread once I have them. I was pretty surprised to see how much they needed to disassemble the vehicle in order to make sure they got coverage to the edges. It all started out with a decontamination wash, paint correction, clay bar, tire degreaser, etc. This is everything I asked them to do:
  • 70% XPEL PRIME XR PLUS on 2nd and 3rd row windows, rear window, and front windshield
  • 45% XPEL PRIME XR PLUS on front driver/passenger windows
  • XPEL STEALTH PPF on all visible blue painted surfaces, and all interior screens
  • XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS 10 PPF on all glossy black surfaces, lights, trims, door jams, etc.
  • Chrome delete (vinyl) on all window trims and front/rear bumper trims
  • Ceramic coating pretty much everywhere including wheels, door jams, plastics, glass, etc.
  • Debadging all the RIVIAN letters and R1S badge (sorry, I didn't get the rear pics from them yet).

Wow. That looks absolutely beautiful. I’m planning to do the same package you are doing with my glacier white except I’m planning to blackout the pillars.
May I ask how much you paid for your package just to make sure my guy is in the ball park ?

Thanks! I saw a white G-wagon there with stealth PPF and it looked awesome. I think yours will look fantastic if you do it.

As far as pricing, they were competitive with others and do a wonderful job. I’d suggest sending them a quick message on their website and they’ll give you a quote. Good luck and looking forward to seeing yours soon!

That looks nice. I'm over here averaging one car wash every four months right now. It's filthy everywhere.

That looks amazing. I just got matched to a R1S Rivian Blue as well. Do you have any additional photos to share outdoors in sunlight?
