Per Rivian Customer Service, finally some production and email update timeline for R1S reservation holders. Hopefully timing holds true.

Email updates for R1S reservations next week (on 12/27 and 12/28 - per second post below)
R1S Adventure production begins May 2022

Will be interesting to see if 7-seat and 5-seat versions ship at the same time or if 5-seat will come later. It would cost me more (no free wheel upgrade) but I would gladly give up LE for 5-seat Adventure if I could still take delivery in June/July time frame (or without much additional delay).

I assume if you are already a late reservation holder living in a low priority state (no service center) switching from Explore to Adventure and from R1S to R1T would not have as much impact on your delivery. What do you guys think?

Huh, take that with a load of salt. Based on their track record, I don't believe anything the CS says...your results may vary...for me it's been a hope and promise. At this point all I'm banking on are direct emails to me from Rivian or communications for me to complete my order.

Do you mean we are getting another update different from the Thanksgiving mail dump for pre order people?

Thanksgiving was for LE orders. This one should be for everyone else.

So non founders are looking at a 2023 timeline realistically based on slow production.

May 22nd.... that's a Sunday. So basically they'll have 23rd-31st, or (7) business days in May! Wonder how many R1S deliveries there will be?

I have an FE pre-order in and have not heard a damn thing other than my delivery window being pushed back to July-September. Now it appears non-LE may get delivered before mine. Kinda odd. Have not heard anything from a guide and im pretty sure Thanksgiving has come and gone.

I'd say so, but I'll be interested to see if people with adventure trim reservations that were made much later than someone with an explore trim ends up with an earlier delivery date.

What the CS reps say now that they are public carries a lot more responsibility. Hopefully they have improved communications and CS is in step with sales and production.....
