Ordered Megawatt sliders by @electruck4x4 last October, just got delivered yesterday and installed it the same day. The old sayings of "you get what you paid for" and "it's worth the wait" are completely true for these sliders. Hands down, the best sliders on the market. Quality of craftsmanship is beyond OEM. Pay a little extra and get these sliders. Your R1S/R1T deserves these. Sliders came well packaged with some extra goodies.

Install was a breeze. Remove 4 bolts per sides, loosen 5 bolts and literally slide the sliders on. Wife is happy, kid is happy, makes washing and loading onto the roof much easier.

That’s plenty of time. I took 1.5 hours and I was going slow while talking to a few neighbors passing by. If you’re installing by yourself, I’d sit facing the car with the sliders on your lap and lift it up with your knees. Slide the front at a slight angle in first as theres two bolts to clear.

1. No custom hole cutting right? Just take off the plastic panels and mount?
2. Is the underside exposed more with these rock sliders, or is it a non-issue? I saw in the FAQ that Electruck plans to offer a modular dust cover to replace the factory plastics.

Just take off panels, loosen some screws and mount sliders. No modification or additional screws/bolts are needed. Underside is partially exposed but non issue. I'm in process of cutting the original panels and fitting it back on just for aesthetics.

Was there a TP55 or whatever special socket that is required come in the package? I read through the store’s website and only found that it is not listed in the required tools, so I assume I don’t need to buy one on my own.
