Tesla's Supercharger map lists Gallup as Tesla-only. Note the lightning-bolt icon at the site and see the description in the upper left of this map:

https://www.tesla.com/findus?v=2&bounds=36.458056411512274,-106.63882655800676,34.52385359091167,-110.79165858925676&zoom=9&filters=supercharger,party,nacs

PlugShare's low site number of #38710 shows this Supercharger has been there for several years. The PlugShare site itself confirms that the site is Tesla-only:

Both of these sources seem to be reliable. You too can use these maps to check out lots of possibilities, @rivtyler. Very best wishes!
Hey thank you for putting this together. I had actually reviewed both sources but wasn’t clear on whether it might still be good to go for Rivian with an adapter. I guess the answer is no and I need to cancel my A2Z order.

anecdotally looks like they’re building RAN charging in that area, announced a few months ago. Wonder how long that’ll take to get set up!

Man, everyone is so nice on this forum. I was heavily cross-shopping the new GX/LC Prado and to an extent 6g 4Runner, following threads on Mud and everybody seems so grumpy over there lol.

If anyone sees this and doesn’t mind taking the time, would you mind telling me if the rivian nav sees the Tesla supercharger in Gallup, NM as a viable charger?

I’m trying to get from Phoenix to Durango, CO, and ABRP is telling me I have to hit the EA charger in Gallup. I’ve never even supercharged my current Tesla but would rather be able to stop at the Tesla charger vs mess with EA if possible. (If I’m off base here lmk.) I ordered the A2Z adapter assuming all Superchargers are usable by Rivians, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with this one based on ABRP and every official map I can find online?
Get the EA app. I live in metro Phoenix, and use EA fairly regularly in other parts of Arizona. EA chargers have been working fairly reliably for me for quite a few months.
There aren't any available Tesla SCs in northeast Arizona, or northwest New Mexico (until you get to Grants).
Here's a charger map from Rivian:

The Rivian map shows a RAN "coming soon" in Albuquerque, but not in Gallup. But "coming soon" could still be many months away.

Helpful info I was interested in hearing, was curious about the protocols on this.
When I had my power tonneau cover upgrade done on my R1T, they were going to keep it a couple of days, and give me credits for an Enterprise rental. I decided to delay it, until they could get it done in one day. They were able to give me a loaner R1T for the day, but it depends on availabilty.

Hey all, occurred to me that I could condense my 5th gen 4Runner and Tesla Model 3 Performance into one vehicle in the R1S. I wfh, wife stays home, 90% of our driving is within a 10 mile radius with odd road trips that will require charging 1-2x/year. I do love to wheel and camp, so planning on getting good use out of our incoming R1S to that end as well.

With a toddler and large dog in tow, im trying to get a feel for whether I’m absolutely stupid for rolling the dice on the R1S as our sole vehicle? Will be on a 3 year/12k lease and at this point 50/50 on buying it out at the end. I’d prefer not to but could add a second car if absolutely necessary.

My tesla bricked early on a 12v battery issue but has otherwise been trouble free, same obviously goes for the 4Runner. Am I in for it fam? Rivian service center is a 20 mile/40 minute drive from me.

Just trying to get an early feel for what to expect, recognizing the bias of posting on this forum aside I know there’s probably a silent majority that have had nothing but great experiences. Give it to me straight y’all.
I have the R1S and 2015 4Runner. I mostly drive the R1S now. I got the R1S June 30, 2023 and I am at 12K miles. You should be fine. I do road trips from San Diego to : LA, Big Bear Lake a lot in the summer.

It has been the best car that I have owned in the last 30 years. I drive it daily and have taken it camping. If you look at any new car forum you need to realize there is a population bias with more people willing to take the time to complain than praise the vehicle. Camping was particularly good experience as is has significantly more space than my 2012 Grand Cherokee.
