I purchased the discount tire road hazard replacement certificates and also lifetime of the tire Road force spin / balance with free rotation.

My local store gave me a little break on the price of the lifetime spin balance and they got to check out their first Rivian.

They have the pucks on order but regardless I have my own pucks in the frunk. They will use jacks to raise the vehicles with the pucks in place.

Obviously they won't cover a blowout when I go off-roading and take a hard landing on some rocks and bash my underbody shield in the process.

He did say if you get a thorn or stick in the sidewall and if its obvious it wasn't abuse or anything, he will be happy to swap it out. This was the assistant manager.

I let him know the SUV is not going to be a pavement princess but also not a fulltime farm truck.

The replacement certificates work around the nation.

This was a small price to pay for a peace of mind until I get a spare tire.

Yes. They need to scan each tire in and take tread depth measurements plus verify mileage.

also the employees would appreciate looking at their first Rivian.

Be the Rivian brand / stock ambassador and take your car to discount tire in person.

Huh, I had a rotation done at 5k miles at Discount Tire a while back (first Rivian in), and they didn't mention that option at all. Guess I'l see if I can ask about that when I do my rotation soon at 10k!

You have to ask for it. I did it on the Rivian and my Tesla right after I took delivery. Easy Peasy.

Ugg. Nearest discount tire for shop for Philadelphia area is in hundreds of miles away. Wish rivian had other preferred partners as well.

That's awesome. I didn't think that they would sell a certificate without you purchasing the tires from them. Do you know the terms of the certificate in regards to the life of the tire? Is it based on tread depth and/or time?

Discount Tire/America's Tire (same place) appears to be the only 3rd party, but that's just based on my observations from conversations on Reddit and the forum.

From what I've seen, Rivian typically charges $60 for tire rotations, I don't think any dealer/manufacturer includes it for free without some sort of additional service plan. For example, I got oil changes and tire rotations for "free" on my Ford Fusion, but I had originally paid a maintaince/service plan that was included as an additional fee in my purchase.

Rotations are always free at discount tire. You have to pay for the balancing if you want that done while getting your free rotations.

Fixing a flat / patching is also free at discount tire

Discount tire is best at balancing tires using their Road Force balancer.
