Prices lowered on R1T and R1S inventory (5/23/24)

Still no update on my end. My guide said they send the updated contracts out at late in the day and as long as it’s done before we get there tomorrow then it’s fine.

So yesterday at 11:45am central time I called to see if I could get the 1k I put down on an r1s over to a T bc my trade in was valued low. Representative/guide said no unfortunately. So I asked to cancel and he shared with me the 4k price adjustments for 2023 R1T large packs but more importantly 15k off of 2023 R1T large packs.., and I also doubled down that it stacks with the electric vehicle upgrade package and he verified that it did. At the time the updated pricing wasn’t live on the website but it was on Rivian end so I put down another grand for a max pack T… a little nervous that I may have been lead astray bc I don’t have an update on the price of my truck yet, I’m seeing thought that contracts take awhile to update? I’m not taking delivery though for a few weeks

I ordered my R1T last week (DM, Max, 20", Glacier White, RUS) and am now looking at a very similar build but with FE interior and PDM ($5-7k in upgrades) and another El Cap/FE PDM Max that would supposedly lease for the same price. :/

I've called Rivian and texted my Guide but nobody has returned a call. My pickup is scheduled for Wednesday and I'm really tempted to risk losing my deposit by re-ordering the new one. Ugh.

Has anyone with a similar R1T build seen an additional discount since yesterday? If so, for how much?

I'm also seeing cars that were DM last week now being listed as PDM, so I guess it's just a software unlock? Not sure if they'll want to apply that to mine or just give some discount for taking it as DM.

Where are you picking up from? Portland or Bellevue?

I have a scheduled delivery for Wednesday the 29th as well. Still no guide. From what I heard, we will not be assigned one if we are on the west coast. There is a team handling all of the west. My communication has been far and few with customer service/guides.

Portland. My guide just called back and basically said 1) the car is delayed and won't be ready on the 29th, and 2) there is no additional discount to tell me about right now, but if I wait until Tuesday they may be able to do something about the price or adding the PDM upgrade.


He also offered to let me rematch to a different car without losing my deposit. I ended up doing. I might miss a small discount but otherwise am getting a nicer car for the price I already agreed to.

Nice! Sucks for the delay, but if you're happy with new truck then that is all that matters.

Yes, just hadn't done proof of DAS funds. Just trying to get a new employee referral re-applied now.

Maybe ask guide to match you to a different vehicle. This "can" result in deposit being moved to new, versus loss of $1k.

Yes PDM is a software-unlocked DM. Some previously signed contracts are being changed from DM to PDM. Good luck!

Been watching dropping R1T prices as I wait for Tesla to finally give me a Model 3 Performance VIN. The Rivian discounts became so extreme that I couldn't help pulling the trigger to see what happens. I remain skeptical that I will actually get all of these stacking discounts because it would just be ridiculous. If they actually do, I believe the current discounts, plus preorder discount, plus employee F&F discount I got on Reddit would put my 2023 RB/OC DMP Max Pack w/ forged 20s at around $560 a month with "0" down. If they decide to honor this and can get it to me by June 1 to do so, then I'd be nuts not to take it. Unfortunately though, not off to a great start as I couldn't even get a callback from a guide or salesperson all day Friday. Delivery center texted me to say they will try their best.

My R1T Quad order just decreased $4,000 as well. Between the $4000 credit for their electric conquesting program, the $7500 ev credit, a spec with the full stealth wrap (which would have cost me at least 5k), and the PTC at 500 bucks (vs what I’m assuming would be close to 3-3.5k as an add on), this feels like a good deal on a quad R1T (it’s got the dark 22s, El Cap paint). I’m only in it for 2 years and for 800 a month with that spec, I’m quite pleased.

I'd be good with the NACS adapter with new purchases. Only problem is based on what we have seen, I think it would be an IOU, since I don't think Rivian is receiving them fast enough to even keep up with new deliveries.....

The NACS adapter is already an IOU. My R1S was delivered a week ago with the promise of a NACS adapter "in the near future".

I am all about adoption and want to see more of these amazing vehicles in hands of consumers. Even better if your upfront cost is lower and you save $2000 in fuel every year.

Right now the average consumer is holding on to their car for about 12 years.
