Rivian has dropped prices on the remaining 2023s by a lot, and are starting to drop prices on the 2024s as well. Now's your chance to save some dough if you've been on the fence.

Thanks to this thread, I think it's time to make a new thread about what that mysterious deal could be.

My vote is for a special APR. Perhaps 0.99% like Tesla had been promoting. I don't anticipate Rivian further dropping actual prices again yet since they still have several other demand levers they could pull.

No way it’s a refreshed R1. That’s likely not until 2025? More likely some special lease or finance terms like you said.

Possible a free accessory/charger. Hard to say, but hoping it's awesome for everyone who can benefit from it!!

(Also nice, but would create the MOST possible amount of controversy--the NACS adapter supplied with all new purchases :D I'd get my popcorn out anyway...)

A special APR would make sense. I don’t see them calling a customer and offering a chance to redo a deal for anything less than that.

It’s also been significant time since the last update so I’m assuming maybe we’re getting closer to a few announcements…

I agree with @Dark-Fx that .99% apr is possible. I can also see them dropping prices to an absurd level just to get rid of the inventory so they can show off the refresh.

Sales seem to have slowed so much, especially with the R1T, that they must just ready to rip the band aid off.

Plus, backlash from customers buying these vehicles right before updates are available will be much lower if they are getting into them at a great price.

I'd be good with the NACS adapter with new purchases. Only problem is based on what we have seen, I think it would be an IOU, since I don't think Rivian is receiving them fast enough to even keep up with new deliveries.....

I vote finance change, otherwise they could close the deal and gift you whatever the difference is.

FWIW, didnt a finance group just buy 400,000 shares of RIVN. Could be a new deal from that group?

I generally avoid baseless speculation, but it's kinda fun, I must admit, so I'll play along!

I just transferred money from several different accounts into my checking account to pay for my forthcoming delivery (what's the emoji for "psychotic-level impatience"?). If I can get anything like 0.99% financing, all of that cash would go right back into ~5% CDs!

I look forward to learning the true situation.

Well, that's my bit for baseless speculation--now I need to deal with the very-concrete task of prepping the garage for the charger installation--that's a hard fact!

My guess is they release the post shutdown R1Ss to the store and offer a lease deal. These will probably not be a refreshed version.
