Good evening everyone.

I ordered the peak phone mount for my R1T. I saw In one thread it was not stuck to the R1T but rather wedged in.

it looks great and even though not used by this member, it is typically mounted with a strip of 3m VHB.

My question is if anyone has had any experience with removing that from a previous vehicle? Did it leave any residue? Did it scar dash?

I believe the question was asked in the thread, but not answered. If it was, I apologize but I would really like to know from someone with experience before potentially damaging my beautiful new truck.

As always, thank you. This community has been great.

Adam.

I wouldn’t risk any adhesives on the wood.

Wasn't on a dash but I do remember removing the 3m vhb tape from a window with tint on it. Once I was able to cut the tape, and remove the camera, it seemed to be able to be removed by "rolling" it off the material. I finished up with some glass cleaner and it looked like nothing was ever there.

Again I never tried to remove the stuff from a vinyl dash
