It just so happens that I ran across these on accident at a Sam’s Club a few days ago, and I was like those are new. They look great at least on the shelf. Just hit the treadwear marker 27K with the OEMs. These may be an option. (exasperated sigh, knowing the past 90 days of research will need to be modified.) ;)

Looks good on 20's but not on the 22's imo. So glad I went with Dark 20's and will have to replace mine soon due to the stock tire noise levels at 13k. I still want that rugged look but something that is quieter and smoother.

FYI - I got 27,700 miles from OEM Pirelli Scorpion AT 20" tires with fronts at 2/32 and rear at 3/32.

I cross rotated the tires twice in that time. I went off-roading and used all 800+ HP / 900+ TQ daily on road.

I liked the overall grip / performance from the OEM tire but did not enjoy the noise after 15k.

Tires were loud around 40 mph - 50 mph but fine for me on the highway.

I would have used them for another few months but traction started to suck and I was able to get an appointment with Rivian for alignment which pushed me to get new tires a couple days before.

The newer Pirelli XTM is a lot quieter / comfortable ride even when compared to a new set of OEM Pirelli.

I would imagine the off-road and snow performance is better but I can already tell I am giving up some grip / performance with the XTM AT on road to get better off-road / snow performance along with quieter / more comfortable experience on road with decent tread life compared to OEM tires.

At least these will come with tread mileage warranty since it was a customer purchase and not OEM tires.

The Pirelli XTM AT is definitely quieter and smoother than OEM Pirelli but you might have to give up some grip / performance if you like to use all the available power on tap and take back-road / twisty roads.

Very happy to hear that they're better over bumps, quieter, and smoother than the OEM. They look even better. I may get these...

Just to check. Did you do a back to back with NEW OEM Pirelli 20's? Or based on memory? My first ride on the OEM 20's was a loaner with 20k, they sounded and felt like BUTT. Then I bought a new R1T with OEM 20's and was very impressed how smooth/quiet they were.

This was based on memory and even my most recent experience with 3/32 left on OEM tires on the rear and 2/32 on the fronts.

It's much easier for me to activate ABS / Stability with the XTM AT where the OEM ones did a better job gripping.

Now, what has helped me with the XTM AT is to change stability to reduced and use sport low or lowest / firm when I want a little more grip.

At least for me the XTM AT tends to hook better with stability set to reduced when you need a little more grip and don't want ABS to kick in and bog you down.

Bald tires on dry pavement will grab better than an at tire by a large margin, especially a newly cast tire with release oil on it.

ran my Pirelli OEM 20' tires for over 41k miles. Is there something wrong with me?
I mostly ran on conserve mode and 1% off road.
Moving on to the new Pirelli XTM. I understand they have a 55k warranty.

Here is a small efficiency update primarily done at 65 mph - 70 mph.

I normally get around 1.8 miles per kWh at highway speeds.

With the new tires I got between 1.8 - 1.9 miles per kWh.

Just based off the small trip I can tell the efficiency is comparable to stock.

Now keep in mind, my tires were 2-3 lbs low, my battery temp and motor temps were low as well.

I’ll do more testing today after putting nitrogen air from Costco and letting the battery / motor come up to temp.

I could see that as a possibility if you did more highway driving instead of stop and go / city / sport mode on backroad / twisty roads.

Another small efficiency update where battery and motor temps were at normal levels, speed was around 40 miles per hour driving to and from one side of town to another side of town using city streets.

I got between 2.3 mi/kWh and 2.5 miles per kWh when driving around 38 - 40 - 45 miles per hour and mainly around 40 mph.

Keep in mind, my tire pressure was still 3-4 lbs low when hot. I expect slightly better numbers once tires are inflated to 50 lbs.

I’ll give another update once I can get my tires to 50 lbs hot. I don’t feel like using the compressor in the car and rather use the self-serve nitrogen tire pump from Costco at no charge.

Confirm that. Mostly highway or straight country roads. @42k changing tires today to Pirelli XTM

Yeah the price on them is a little too much. This blurb got me laughing.
My gen one came with OEM Scorpions and most people want to get rid of them, get two sets of rims for their imaginary off roading and their winter tires for fear of getting stuck. Most of us are just doing our boring, every day getting around....doing it in fabulous luxurity, granted.
The minor premium paid is well worth it for the nearly silent, efficient glide of the RJ's pick of tires for his R1t release. I love them. On Michelins now and going back.
I did note at the factory, that he with his security detail rode in on 20s. It was on my factory delivery. I honked and waved, and he came right over to thank me for purchasing.
Great guy and very charismatic.

Did you replace AT with these AT tires?

Your efficiency is way less than my dual motor with 21 inch pirellis.

Correct, I replaced Stock Pirelli AT+ Scorpion with Pirelli XTM AT.

My goal in the future is maybe replace my AT with 22" Pirelli once I wear these out to see how well the vehicle handles with some sticky tires.

AT is a huge sacrifice.

You guys would be better off having AT and street tires.

I'm not giving up these 21s. I might grab some 20s and put ATs in the garage for offroading.
