Phone key is horrible after last update or two - now google maps update alex/navigation is horrible?

Back in january, my phone key was working perfectly. Ever since the last update or two, I have to put my android in airplane mode and back off again every single morning to get the truck to find it. I uninstalled the rivian app twice, removed the phone key from my account and readded it twice, and its still the same thing. Has anyone found a workaround or solution for this? It never used to be like this.

Now with the google maps update, alexa cannot find ANYTHING. If I say 'alexa, navigation to autozone' she always replies "i dont understand.' or if you say 'alexa, navigation to mcdonalds in medina' same thing. This USED to work before. What is going on!?

Maybe an Android issue, our iPhones have been great since we got our R1S; response time improved with last update.

Ironically... the Fob as a proximity device works great now that the feature has been enabled!
