Phone As A Key Performance

Does this actually work consistently for anyone? Sometimes mine works and sometimes not at all. Sometimes the truck even seems to ignore the remote and requires several presses. But the PAAK Sometimes doesn't even lock the truck when I am 100 yards away. Just sits unlocked. And sometimes I approach and just give up as it seems it will never unlock.

I'd say it works about 40% of the time and usually when I don't want it to. I use the wrist fob most of the time

It works most of the time for me. Sometimes it's a bit slow, and just as I'm about to open the app and manually unlock the doors they unlock. And, once in awhile I'll turn around half way across a parking lot and see it's still unlocked and I'll take the phone out and lock it - but 85-90% it works pretty ok.

Same here. Works most of the time, but sometimes a bit slow. Sometimes I'll walk by the car and it will unlock, other times I'll be standing in front of the driver side door and it will take 10-15 seconds to unlock.

Gave up on the phone key about a week after i owned the truck... i use the fob

Same issue on my end. I would say my phone works 40-50% of the time. Even the key fob requires 2 or 3 presses to unlock at time.

I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not but the two times it didn't lock for me, I realized that I'd clipped the carabiner key fob inside of my backpack which was sitting in the truck.

It is working perfectly now that I'm not leaving the key to my expensive truck inside of it.

So far my phone works, it's just slower than I'd like.

However, I discovered something that takes the sting out of it a bit—if you push on the door handle, there's a small button on the inside, and this seems to wake the car up. Usually if it's not responding, that causes it to wake up within a second, even if I never pull my phone out of my pocket.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro and am still on 2022.15. My wife has an iPhone 12 mini. We have roughly the same experience.

My fob doesn't work yet. Rivian is working on a service order to see if they can figure out why it didn't pair, or if they can just send me a replacement. And, like many, I'm waiting on the wristband. Key cards work fine for me.

I tired PAAK Again after .19 update which enables no lock at home.....

It's still garbage going back to key fob.... still very unstable and random.

Successfully locks about 100% of the time.

Huh, I wonder if there's a correlation here. My fob isn't paired at all—maybe having the fob and the phone makes the PAAK not work.

I have both and it works great. Both FOB and PaaK.

Mine works well too. Most of the time it unlocks as I am reaching for the door handle, it could be slightly faster. It locks 100% of the time about 20 yards away. The only issue I have is that when my wife and I ride together the truck always defaults to her settings.

The times I’ve noticed mine didn’t lock when walking away, the door was not fully shut. You really need to slam it.
