Epic adventure in the books! So to recap, a bit of range anxiety on this one on account of Electrify America telling us a certain amount of power and charge speed on the app only to discover some of the stations throttled back power. Outside of that this was nothing but blue skies and tailwinds.
We enjoined the company of each other and met a few kind travelers along the way mostly Canadian. Lovely people indeed. We treated the kids to 3 star Michellin cuisine at Chick filet (thank you Mr. Cathy). We spent down time playing soccer and frisbee. Added trivia games along the way (Vanessa won most of the time) all the while being serenaded by DJ Dragon on the one and two (Walmart DJ kit).
After a few bathroom breaks and three days of travel we all safely traversed the Peace River border crossing and were welcomed with open arms. A little trick getting in and out with passportless Maui (6 months celebrated in North Carolina) is to drive not fly into Canada or USA (perfectly legal loophole).
Anywho thank you Ritz Carlton and Hyatt for your hospitality and service with a smile. We had a splendid time together. Last but not least I would be remiss not to mention Rivian and our concierge team led my Mark at Rivian.
She performed flawlessly and handled the temperature swings predictably. Never a concern. Highly recommend the product R1T and/or R1S. Zero fule stops along the way was a breath of fresh air. #maui #rivian #roadtrip#springbreak #usa #canada #electric #ev
