Open Source EV vent mount - more better

I purchased a vent mount from OpenSourceEV for my Garmin DriveSmart 86 but it had some fitting issues. My new R1S had a slightly different dash design so the end tab wouldn’t properly seat. Rob sent me a redesigned one but that one was still a little off.

His “Next Generation” is much better! No top flap needed. It is a two part assembly that is secured by screwing the two parts together in place.

He has some ball mount sizes available but I needed a 22mm for my Garmin DS86. So I adapted a 22mm ball mount from Amazon.

It took some sorting out but I think Rob has a winner now. I really want to give him credit for trying to get the product right. I maybe lost a little time and inconvenience but he worked on three products plus shipping for one order.

If you already have your ball mount and screw, you can get the updated mount for $7.50.
