OG Rivian rooftop tent question

So in preparation of using my Rvian branded/ Yakima skyrise rooftop tent I set everything up over the weekend. The only thing I could not figure out was it came with two pins with a clip attached. They look like these. I could not find anywhere on the Rivian instructions or on the Yakima instructions what these were for or where they go. Can anyone who has used this specific tent point out or help me with where these go?

I have a Skyrise, too, and definitely don't use any pins like that anywhere. I can't even imagine where they'd go.

That was my confusion too. I looked all over and couldn't find anywhere that they would clearly go. I'm just going to take it as maybe being mispacked with
