Ocean coast with locked config? (post 6/11)

Long time lurker, first time poster....

I originally had ocean coast configured and decided to switch to black mountain in the hopes of getting my truck earlier (Nov 2021 reservation, dec 2022 - jan 2023 window). I recently switched back to ocean coast and low and behold I was assigned a guide yesterday followed by an email asking to lock my configuration including ocean coast interior. Never received a shop invite. Has anyone else been asked recently to lock an ocean coast config? Seems odd given not estimated until the Fall. Did not see anyone else posting this experience so thought I would ask.

I really hope this doesn't have anything to do with you swapping configs (I am waiting on OC as well) but I feel like this is a glitch/error. Fingers crossed for you but I have no faith that Rivian is actually ahead of schedule on anything at this point.

It's possible the system saw you were in BM and didn't register the OC interior. But I could be wrong....i just have yet to hear anyone getting it yet.

I had my configuration locked on 6/7/2022 right after guide contact, also. At that time, my estimated delivery was July-Sep 2022. Later estimated delivery was changed to Oct-Nov 2022.

Maybe RIVIAN actually hopes to start producing trucks with Ocean Coast sometime this fall? That would be great! I've been ready since 12/2019.

My guide did say they should be starting delivery of ocean coast this fall.

From a May-ish 2021 reservation I've done the swap too to see if I could get ahead but switched back, I haven't heard anything except Rivian's standard email blasts.
