Ok. Mostly this is to say YAY I have my R1T. Also to ask a question or two.
So first: YAY.
Second: picked up in Denver and drove to Albuquerque same day.
This was Friday. Was supposed to get Tuesday but I was screwed during the great Southwest Meltdown of Christmas 2022.
Only reason this is slightly relevant is that I almost had a beautiful day of 60 degrees to drive home in, and instead had icy roads and cold. (Truthfully it was only around the Rivian Service Center and back roads, but still my poor baby got dirty on her first drive. Upside is I donāt think a single bug splat is a first for me on a long drive).
Third: no issues. Easy to drive. Still learning a bit (didnāt select auto height adjust with All Purpose so drove first leg of highway at a higher height than needed.) UI is ok. Navigation too. Still miss Apple car play. Sigh.
Forth: EA was mostly easy to use with their app. Phone as credit card didnāt work for me, but app is fine. I stopped at most along the way to see how they work and to see what is around them. Ran into the same couple each time in their Mustang EV). Most stops were fine but one had two of the four spots down for maintenance so myself and another person had to wait a bit to charge. But EV people seem pretty nice overall. One of the good stops (4 working chargers and no people) was a bit isolated. I would feel a bit weird if I was a woman alone.
Fifth: today Iām gonna go a bit deeper into the UI to turn off or turn down the lane nanny feature. I feel it is way too sensitive.
We donāt use salt on our roads here in Albuquerque so Iām gonna wash the truck today. Do you use the Car Wash setting for hand washing?
Thanks all for the help and support. I hope you all enjoy the trucks you have and the trucks to come. SUVās too.
